Alfa-Conf let down businesspeople: what was supposed to be a business event ended up being a wine-tasting exhibition

Alfa-Conf was billed by Alfa Bank as "the largest event for business and entrepreneurs." However, in reality, the participants encountered an unprepared crowd of info-Gypsies and showbiz personalities.

The event’s hosts discussed the state of Mercury’s retrograde with yet another info-Gypsy audience member. Andrey Malakhov taught people how to "dream" from the stage.

Even Alfa Bank CEO Vladimir Verkhoshinsky chose to discuss wine varieties (his favorite is "Oh, yeah"). Vladimir Pozner assisted him in this, demonstrating that all Russian wines are complete crap and shouldn’t be drunk. So much for "the best business event in the country."
